The Bunkhouse is a family retreat in the wooded dune hills near silver lake. The perfect location for your #pureMichigan vacation, whether you’re looking for time at the beach, off-roading adventures, or relaxation at this newly renovated cabin that sleeps 14.
For those looking for adventures, you’ll be minutes from Silver Lake Beach State Park & Boat Launch, ORV Park entrance, and Little Sable Point Lighthouse Beach on Lake Michigan, as well as biking distance to wineries, downtown Mears/Silver Lake, and Hart Montague Trail. The cabin has plenty of paved parking (55x35 feet) and air compressor on site for easy filling. The cabin is nestled at the end of a single lane drive up the dunes and maybe not be suitable for low-riding or large trailers. There are plenty of offsite trailer parking areas nearby!
For those looking for things closer to home, the cabin is surrounded by forest and has plenty of comfortable spaces for reading, playing games, and spending time together around the firepit or 14 foot patio dining table.

Summary: This was a nice place to stay. The kids loved the bunk room. The kitchen and amenities in the kitchen were great. The “living room” are didn’t have much seating for the number of people the house sleeps. I think there should be something in the description that mentions the kitchen and living room are 15 steps up.

Summary: The Bunkhouse is beautiful. The kitchen is great for feeding an army of family and/or friends. The bunk bed room will be a fun adventure for kids or grownups. The rec room is a fun addition with its bar and card table. Thanks for having outdoor games to entertain ourselves when we weren’t at the dunes playing on toys or at the beach. We will be back in the future.

Summary: We were a family group of 11 ranging in age from 9 to 72. We loved the wooded setting and lovely yard/play space surrounded by trees and quiet. The house itself worked well for us space-wise with the bunkhouse room for the kids and additional rooms for the others of us. It was very well-equipped with linens, towels, kitchen equipment, games and places to play or relax for all ages. Saw a pileated woodpecker my first morning while drinking coffee on the upper deck. Very close to Silver Lake and whatever activities you are interested in. We recommend this property for a great family getaway!

Summary: We loved our stay at the Bunkhouse! Our 8 teenage girls loved the bunk room and the rest of the rooms were very cozy. The house was close to town and we enjoyed exploring Silver Lake. We definitely recommend this property!

Summary: We loved stayed at this beautifully furnished and clean house! It was in a great area, about a three minute drive from the beach and many things to do around there. Beds were very comfortable and even during the rain we had a good time playing board games and staying inside. It was our fourth time in Silver Lake and our first time at Annie’s property, and we would definitely come back!! We had such a great time and we highly recommend staying here!

Summary: The house and property is VERY nice, our family loved it. Annie and Kyle were quick to answer if ever needed. This was our families third time visiting the sand dunes, staying at the bunkhouse was a great experience they truly thought of everything you could need.
